To assist with the absorption limitations of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), Neuronal Defense contains a patented self-emulsifying compound called Polyoxyethanyl-α-tocopheryl sebacate (PTS) – a form of Vitamin E.

PTS micelles encapsulates CoQ10 to create a soluble and bioavailable delivery system. This facilitates maximal intestinal absorption, the delivery of higher concentrations of CoQ10 to target tissues, the neutralization of free radicals and the counteraction of oxidative stress and neuronal damage.

Enhanced Mitochondrial Energy Production

Cognitive function is energetically expensive and demands a constant supply of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The mitochondria are responsible for meeting this demand, but need CoQ10 to support the mitochondrial electron transport chain. Neuronal Defense’s highly soluble form of CoQ10 aids the production of ATP to facilitate cognitive function and neuronal vitality.
