Our Story

It started with Lily

A dog is more than just a pet - they’re often the heartbeat of the family. So when founder Bill Mohri’s dog, Lily, was diagnosed with Canine Cognitive Aging (CCA), his family faced a heartbreaking reality: they were losing the Lily they knew and loved.

“This was the first I’d learned of CCA and it was too late to understand the early signs of canine cognitive aging in Lily, but maybe not for others.”

BILL MOHRI, FOUNDER & CEO OF SOLUPET

After Lily’s passing, Bill was committed to finding a solution that would help dogs just like Lily - and their loving families - enjoy more precious moments together.

We’re not just launching a product our mission at SoluPet Inc. is to champion cognitive longevity for senior dogs and the people who love them.

The road to SoluPet

Bill assembled world-class veterinary doctors, animal behaviorists, and leading researchers in veterinary science, neurology, product formulation, and biotechnology. Together, with their scientific expertise and his decades of business experience, they developed Neuronal Defense™ – SoluPet’s groundbreaking health supplement designed to support your senior dog’s brain health.

“Canine aging symptoms are a growing concern in pets as they get older. SoluPet is committed to improving the cognitive capabilities of dogs.”

Novel science in every drop

Dogs give everything to their owners, so it’s only fair to return the favor.

Over ten years of testing and research, Neuronal Defense™ has been shown to promote brain health, function and cognition in senior dogs by providing cellular energy and antioxidant protection to brain neurons.

Its clear, odorless liquid is formulated to pass through the blood–brain barrier to deliver active ingredients such as Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) to precisely where they’re needed, while being easy to add to your dog’s water bowl.

CoQ10 is a natural compound that has the ability to boost cellular energy and neutralize harmful molecules that can damage or kill brain cells over time. Pre-clinical research using animal models shows that the active ingredient in Neuronal Defense™ supports a time-dependent increase in CoQ10 levels, reaching approximately 35% above the initial baseline three hours after the first dosage.

Tested and trusted.

Neuronal Defense™ has undergone more than 10 years of testing and animal trials. As a result, it has earned the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) Quality Seal, and the key ingredients have FDA self-affirmed GRAS status.

The mission of the NASC is to promote the health and wellbeing of companion animals that are given animal health supplements by their owners, and to protect and enhance the animal health supplement industry. Their quality seal identifies companies and brands that are committed to quality, vigilance, and continuous improvement in health supplements for animals.
